A Poem Praise to Self
This woman is a rock, she rocks
She has been carrying everybody’s burden on her shoulders
And travelling a never-ending journey
I looked at her, and realized that she has been tossed side to side
She had lost faith in herself
She had lost self-belief
She doubted her decisions
She took the backseat
She let her spark escape her eyes
And had forgotten that she is worth more
I looked at her and my heart pained me
I acknowledge her worth
I acknowledge her eloquence
I acknowledge her intelligence
This woman is a rock, she rocks
She is like a rock, she can’t be moved
Even if you wanted to
She would move only when she wants to
No dictations to her
She has decided, she can’t be between a rock
And a hard place no more
She is free
I acknowledge her worth
I acknowledge her eloquence
I acknowledge her intelligence
This woman is a rock, she rocks
She is beautiful and musical
And likes dancing around with little children
She is childlike, not childish
Enough is enough
She can’t be stopped now
Because she has realized, she is more
This woman is a rock, she rocks
And this woman is ME
